Wildwood has seven spacious and elegant bedrooms and bathrooms, including a family suite.

All rooms offer king or queen beds with luxurious linens and amenities including 400 thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets, warm electric throw, fluffy towels, and toiletries.

In addition to your private room, guests are welcome to enjoy all of the beautifully decorated shared spaces on the first floor. There is a large yet cozy Great Room with a wood burning fireplace, TV and a classic game table for cards or dominoes. Breakfast is served in the beautiful and gracious Dining Room, while the Music Room provides another seating area around a fireplace. In the warmer months the Breakfast Room is lovely for dining or relaxing in the sun. Outdoors we have almost 3 acres of patios, lawn and woods for exploration (and the occasional bear sighting!). There's a fire pit for s’mores and stories by the fire.

Wildwood is also available for event rentals, including weddings, parties, workshops, retreats, etc. including both day use and day/evening availability. Please contact the Innkeeper directly for further details, or clicking the link below.

Room One - Wildwood

Wildwood is the original, and current, name of the property. This full bed, private bath space includes a private bathroom with walk-in shower in the hallway. Three large windows feature beautiful northwest views of Haystack Mountain.

Room Two - Erastus Johnson’s Room

Erastus Johnson is the gentleman who built Wildwood for his family in 1880. He made his fortune by bringing electric and phone services to Northwestern, CT. Erastus’s room features a queen bed, en-suite bath with walk-in shower, as well as a cozy electric fireplace. Three large windows provide northwest views of Haystack Mountain.

Room Three - Adriace Room

Mr. Adriace was the second owner of Wildwood. This room features a comfortable queen bed, with en-suite bath and walk-in shower. There is one large window overlooking the patio and gardens.

Room Four - Jenny’s Room

Jenny Johnson was married to Erastus. They built Wildwood together for their family to enjoy as a grand summer home. Jenny’s room features a queen bed with en-suite bath and shower. Attached is a very charming three season sleeping porch with two twin beds — perfect for families! This room features a large bay window with beautiful sunset and mountain views.

Room Five - Clara’s Room

Clara was one of the Innkeepers who transformed Wildwood from a private residence to an Inn in 1950. She was known for her warm hospitality and delicious German cuisine. Clara’s Room has a king bed with an en-suite bath, with a shower above the bathtub. Three large windows offer patio and northwest mountain views.

Room Six - Felix’s Room

Felix, together with his wife Clara, transformed Wildwood from a private residence to an Inn in 1950. He was a true craftsman who enjoyed woodworking in his “Little Craft Shop”, now the garden shed. This space offers a king bed with an en-suite bath, shower above bathtub. Three large windows have charming woodsy and northwest mountain views.

Room Seven - Mrs. Mead’s Room

Mrs. Mead was a patron who loved the Inn so much that she stayed for 6 years. Mrs. Mead’s Room offers a queen bed, en-suite bath with tub/shower as well as a separate dressing area. Large windows face east and north with a lovely wooded view.
